The real history of shiraz goes back to 2000 BC, Elamite era, on the tablets found in fars province, in a very old language of Elamites a name was found very close to shiraz city, “Tirazis”. Unfortunately, the heirs of the Zands could not maintain the consistency of the country and the founder of Qajar dynasty invaded shiraz city as capital and by destroying the city wall and fortress were down the Zand dynasty and moved capital to sari in the north and after that to Tehran as capital. Qajar era and during Pahlavi’s dynasty to Islamic republic of Iran, shiraz city and shiraz Iran, maintains growing and even today Fars province and Shiraz is a good cultural and economic example in a the whole country, several universities and cultural centers are located in shiraz and each year thousands of people visiting shiraz and Fars province.
