History of Bird garden

In 1998 the municipality of Isfahan started to make a huge Bird garden or baghe parandegan covered by a very special cage covered 17000 m2. This cage is made by chain-link fenced pitched on 16 dynamic and removable pillars with a height of 32m. More than 5000 birds from 130 different species are kept in the garden. These birds are not only native of Iran but many of them imported and acclimated to Isfahan harsh weather. These new birds are imported from many countries like Australia, Indonesia, and China, Tanzanian, Malaysia and many other countries from all continents of the world. This garden is located parallel of “Zayandeh Rood River” and irrigated by its water during the Time River is alive and full of water. In this complex you can visit bird garden and common garden birds from different spcieas, some of the other facilities of Najevan complex are butterfly garden, reptile garden, dolfinarium, Aquarum , bicicle riding facilities, boat riding, cable care, food and beverage facilities, restaurants and even camping facitlities mixed together to make a very amazing recreational complex in heart of deserts around Isfahan.

• Glass cages: this kind of containers are suitable to birds which do not have the ability to acclimate themselves with harsh climate of Isfahan and deserts in Iran . Inside the glass cage is air conditioned and some birds like parrots are living people can visit them outside the glass. This kind of containers are the most suitable place for imported birds because of isolation against harsh weather of desert, disease and other factors which endanger the sensitive birds.
• Metal fence cages: these cages are suitable for birds of prey like owl, kite, and black vulture which are dangerous and unpredictable birds which from the other side other birds like to hunt and eat their chicks and even their eggs.
